The Current Standing...

Well, we have a bit of a busy week ahead of us as we both prepare to start completely different ventures. I will be starting work this coming Monday and Jason will be beginning his Masters program at Denver Seminary the very same day. We are blessed that my brother Dillon has offered to sell us his car which will make things much easier for us, commute wise.

Jason is so excited about school, he is ready to be studying and working for something again. I cant say I'm not jealous... ok, I like school and I feel left out that its starting without me this year! haha! I looked up a few masters programs online and am thinking about using my time this year to get a heads start on my masters in Education. I am particularly interested in a focus on gifted learning but I am still doing the research. I figure it could help me in the future to get a job teaching...plus it will help me to stay thinking in that regard. We'll see...something you can pray about if you think about it!

Well, not to much else is new...we painted our living room so I will post pictures as soon as its clean enough :)

To all our Iowa friends and family... we miss you!

Since We've Been Gone...

Well Friends...

It has been a very busy month. We have been in Colorado for over a month now and are still adjusting to life "in the city". Trips to Walmart aren't quick any more...gas evaporates out of the tank quicker then you could imagine...and yet the Lord is still near. We had a few hiccups (of which we won't go into detail here) a on the trip out here with our moving van but we made it an we were all safe...Spencer (our grouchy little hampster) was a trooper and made it the whole way too. We had friends and family here to help us move in which was such a blessing and got to spend some quality time with Amy, as she came with us to help us move.

Jason was blessed with a job through a family friend and has been enjoying that the past few weeks. He works for a landscaping company and is blessed to work with a fun and helpful crew of guys. I have as found a job, although I won't be teaching this year I will be nannying for a family about 35 mins away. It is going to be a very positive situation and the family is offering to pay me a very generous amount which is a blessing from the Lord. I will start my job on the 31st of this month...the same day Jason will begin classes at Denver Seminary. He is very excited to get back in the classroom and begin learning more about what he loves doing...helping others.

We have begun attending Littleton Bible Chapel and even saw Dr. McCleod there when he spoke two Sundays ago. We have also started to get involved with the Jr. High Youth Group and are looking forward to using our gifts in that ministry. Jason has also been asked to speak for the youth group on occasion which he is very excited about.

Aside from all of that we have been working on putting our apartment together and have been blessed to have a pool and hot tub near by to use when ever we want. We also recently got paint to paint our living room and have been working on a few more fun projects..i will post pictures soon. :) We have also gone camping, fishing, hiking (next weekend), and to the celestial seasonings factory for a fun tour of how they make their teas!

We misss all of our Iowa people and have definately felt a longing to see you all again soon...I dont know if Christmas is going to come soon enough!! Well We hope you enjoyed our update and look forward to hearing from everyone soon! Check back later for more "Borrett Reports"...We love you...

<3,
Jason, Erin, and Spencer Borrett!
